Extended Living Space with Basement Waterproofing in Emporia, KS

This homeowner wanted to ensure that her basement was safe and waterproofed so that she could start using it as extended living space. She had used our services in a prior home, so she knew just who to call when it came to her new waterproofing needs.

We sent Service Technician Andrew Davis to inspect the basement and determine what was preventing her from using this space now as well as install solutions to fix the found problems. Andrew found that one of the walls containing a shelf was deflecting inward, causing an unstable foundation wall and some water to start leaking in through the cracks in the wall. He knew just how to fix this problem, so after discussing his solution with the homeowner, he got right to work on installing PowerBraces to help push back the wall over time, then he installed Waterguard Interior Drainage System and CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to effectively waterproof the basement space.

The homeowner was very happy with the outcome of the projects and she couldn't' wait to start using her space more effectively now. Check out the basement waterproofing and structural systems!

Clara R. is a homeowner in Emporia, KS, and has been struggling with water in the basement for a long time. She decided it was time to have her home repaired and protected to bring her peace of mind and continue living in her forever home. Thrasher was recommended to Clara by her neighbor that also utilized our basement waterproofing solutions.

To begin the waterproofing project, our System Design Specialist, Josh Brown, arrived at the home in Emporia, KS, and performed a full inspection on the wet basement. Josh determined that water was seeping through the basement walls from the lack of cold joints in the home’s foundation. To permanently fix this, our teams installed our ultimate basement waterproofing solution – WaterGuard, CleanSpace, and a TripleSafe sump pump system. WaterGuard is our interior basement drainage system that traps all water and drains through the sump pump system. CleanSpace is an innovative waterproof barrier that is applied to the walls to contain moisture and guide water into the WaterGuard drainage system. Our TripleSafe system is the most reliable sump pump available, and it’s guaranteed to keep the basement dry year-round. These three products work together to give the home the waterproofing it needs.

Clara was overjoyed with her Thrasher experience and the basement waterproofing solutions our team provided. She protected her forever home and can now live a better life with the confidence of having a full waterproofed home.

Waterproofing Basement in Emporia, KS

Marcy just purchased her home and wanted to use her basement for storage without worrying about mold, mildew, or water damage. But she noticed water would leak into the basement frequently when it rained. Marcy also runs a daycare from home and wants to ensure her home is as safe as possible for the little kiddos.

System Design Specialist, Nate Franson, got on-site to check out where the water was coming from. He found water would leak in multiple locations from the cold foundation joint, especially during heavy rains. It seemed the previous owners attempted to address wall support failure with weep holes along the bottom of the foundation wall, which only added to the water problem. On top of that, some of the foundation walls had stress cracks from the pressure, which would also leak at times.

To keep the water out, we planned to install an entire perimeter of WaterGuard, full-height CleanSpace, and a lateral line. We tied into her existing sump and went around her current wall support with extended bottom brackets.

The result was great, and now Marcy won't have to deal with water in her basement anymore.

Waterproofing in Lincoln, NE

This homeowner noticed some water seeping through the cold joint and did not want to start having water damage. They attempted a quick fix of grading, landscaping, and outdoor waterproofing, but as soon as it happened again, they knew they needed something else to fix it. They knew of Thrasher and knew they could trust us to provide them with a permanent solution. They knew the quality would be worth the cost and that it would be done right the first time. One of our System Design Specialists, Tony, found water had penetrated the basement through the cold joints, just as the homeowner thought. Although they fixed what they could on the outside, water was still seeping through. After looking into options, we proposed to do CleanSpace on the walls, and WaterGuard in the same area on the ground. CleanSpace is our plastic, waterproof seal that is applied to the walls. It will collect any water that is coming through the cold joints, as well as any water from the block walls that may seep through. This will trickle down to our WaterGuard system, that will direct the water to a sump pump, to push it out and away from the home. The homeowner was very pleased with how everything was installed and how it looks! She gave compliments to the crew, and knew she would have peace of mind not having to worry about the water again.

Water in the Basement in Lincoln, NE

When it rains a lot, homeowner Rick has to deal with water coming into his basement. On top of that, he's noticed a lot of water pooling on his patio. Rick travels a lot and always gets worried that his basement will flood when he's out of town. To ease his anxiety, he knew he needed some help. He heard about Thrasher through friends and family and decided to give us a call. Our System Design Specialist, Matt Stice, went out to Rick's home to see what was going on and come up with a solution. Matt discovered the water was coming in on the east wall in the basement. The best plan of action was to install floor-to-ceiling Cleanspace with WaterGuard on the east and south wall with a Super Sump Plus in the southeast corner to help with waterproofing. And then, to stabilize the wall, we installed Geolock Anchors.

Rick was so excited that this home he's had for 27 years is now in tip-top shape. And so thankful that he no longer has to worry about water on his basement floor when he travels.
