Thrasher Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

James and Lynnece M. wanted to use their basement during the summer months but noticed a damp smell and water staining the walls.

As returning customers, they were excited to have us come back to their home. System Design Specialist, Calogeno Principato was able to identify multiple spots along the floors and walls where water was entering.

We directed the water down the walls behind our CleanSpace to our WaterGuard around the perimeter of their basement eventually dumping into our TripleSafe Pump System. Then we completely encapsulated the walls eliminating water vapor from evaporating into the air. This project used full height CleanSpace which added a lot of light reflecting surfaces which really brightened up the entire room!

Hank K.’s upper driveway was starting to sink causing a big bump to form and he would have to drive his car over that each time to pull into the garage. Hank was tired of the bump and wanted  level and stabilize the concrete.

After hearing great things about Thrasher,  he decided to give us a call. We had System Design Specialist, Miles Hodson go out and he was able come up with a solution. We started with applying  PolyLevel to lift the concrete making the bump less noticeable. We then applied NexusPro Joint Sealant to seal the joints in the driveway and up to the front porch. Hank was not only impressed with the quality of work but how the production crew was efficient and cleaned up well.

LeAnna and Rodney R. wanted to preserve the home that her dad built. There were humps and valleys in the floor. They were worried the floor wouldn't support the weight of everything. They had already done work to try and fix this, but nothing seemed to work.

LeAnna and Rodeney called Thrasher and our System Design Special, Sean Robinson, evaluated the problem. We installed 18 SmartJacks along the full spans of both main beams (9 on each beam).  We also installed a 20' supplemental beam and 4 SmartJacks under the bathroom and LeAnna's scrapbooking room, where she has a lot of heavy furniture and full bookcases.  All this allowed us to even out and level the floor through the full span of the house. We also encapsulated the crawl space and installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to get moisture and humidity under control, in order to preserve the flooring system and floor support.

It's important to have a good sealant to prevent cracks in concrete. For this customer, we applied NexusPro silicone-based sealant to fill and seal cracks and control joints. Unlike traditional polyurethane sealants, NexusPro is specially designed to resist UV rays, ensuring that it remains durable and doesn't crack, bubble, or dry over time. Additionally, NexusPro has a significantly shorter drying time compared to other urethane-based caulking products. Its long-lasting properties have been proven to outperform other sealants, providing reliable protection for your driveway. 

This customer hated the sunken concrete steps at their home. At Thrasher Foundation Repair, we can fix common problems that happen to driveways, walkways, and sidewalks over time. When the soil beneath these concrete slabs weakens or develops voids, cracks, and sinking can occur. Different things like erosion from rainwater or gutter runoff, rotting tree roots, clogged gutters, improper downspout installation, poor yard drainage, and poorly compacted dirt fill, can cause voids. Thankfully, we provided a reliable solution using PolyLevel, a foam that lifts the concrete back to its original position while filling the voids.
