Thrasher Foundation Repair Before & After Photos

Returning customers Jessica and Chris J’s back patio and front sidewalk were starting to sink. Water was starting to pool on their back patio and with a young daughter, they wanted a safe spot for her to play. Having had previous concrete repair done with us, they decided to give us another call.

System Design Specialist, Dan King came out and was able to identify the problem. The water was pooling because the soil under the rest of the patio was making it go in all different directions. The control joints expanded the slab openings and allowed water to easily access the soil.

We were able to fix the concrete in the back and front by using PolyLevel to level and stabilize the patio and front step. We then used Nexus Pro to fill in all of the control joints and cracks to prevent water from entering again.

Mark and Linda S. had been doing home improvements and started to notice cracks appear on the drywall, the new front door was also sticking. So, they decided that it was time to call an expert in foundation repair in Omaha.

We sent System Design Specialist Eric Wulf out and he evaluated the home. He was able to identify that the soil under the footing had washed out and caused the home to settle, causing the cracks to form.

We removed sections of the concrete slab in the garage and front door stoop slab. We then installed push piers 43’-46’ feet deep to load the bearing strata, 1.5 to 2 times the weight of the home was put on the piers to push them that deep. We were also able to lift the foot door to stop it from sticking. The home is now completely stabilized. 

Janet P. recently purchased her home and unfortunately discovered water problems with her basement. The problem was the north wall had stair-step cracking. Upon inspection, the Thrasher team found additional issues with the east wall. We stabilized the east wall with Carbon Armor and tackled the north wall problem with c-channel. We also waterproofed the entire basement and installed a Triple Safe Sump Pump.

Tristan H. recently bought a home and wanted to finish the basement to provide more bedrooms for his kids. They decided to call Thrasher because Eliza H. had lived in a home that had our wall support product already.

The wall they called about was a unique situation where most of the damage was 2' off of the ground so we had to install anchors with C-channels. Upon inspection, there was another wall that bowing in that we installed Power Braces on.

Theresa C. noticed sagging floors in her kitchen and hallway near the washer and dryer. The floors on the main level were starting to settle. She thought the solution would be to install new flooring, but a flooring specialist recommended better support was needed first. She decided to call us to have a look.

We had a System Design Specialist, Nicholas Hruska, go to her home to evaluate what we could do to fix the problem. He noticed that her support jacks were not supporting the floor above which was causing the sagging. We fixed the problem by installing a new supplemental beam with 3 SmartJacks. The support beam under the hallway which had the washer and dryer above was in good shape but the wood columns were splitting and moving because they did not have a solid footing under and could not support the weight. We installed 4 new SmartJacks with good footings under the existing beam. Her floors have now lifted about a 1/2 inch and as a result, was able to put in new floors!
