Basement Waterproofing & Drainage Before & After Photos

This homeowner loved to throw parties for friends and family. She was noticing her basement was becoming an issue. She was getting water in, cobwebs forming, and she was finding lots of bugs. She knew she would not be able to host if she did not fix it. She had heard great things about Thrasher and trusted we could give her the best solution. Neil Kwiatkowski, System Design Specialist, came out to meet with her. Together they decided to install CleanSpace to catch water from the wall and act as a barrier, WaterGuard our drainage channel that flows water to the sump pump, our TripleSafe sump pump to discharge water out of the home, and our dehumidifier to lower humidity levels. Longtime homeowner Mary Kay G. was having problems with water coming down one of her walls. After having another contractor come to fix the water intrusion with no luck, Mary decided to give us a call.

Service Technician Marlon Marroquin and crew installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement, effectively keeping water out. Then encapsulated the space with CleanSpace so that water would no longer come through the walls. Mary was happy that the water would no longer be a problem.

These homeowners are a military family and are stationed in this area. Though they do not know how long they will be staying in this home, they knew they wanted to make sure there are no issues. They found water getting into their basement. They knew of Thrasher reputation, and have heard the great things about us, so they gave us a call. Wes Marshall, System Design Specialist, came out to meet them. Wes saw how the water was coming into the utility room. There was insulation up on the walls, and the homeowners did not want to take it down. Wes got the okay to remove a bit of it, and found mold on the other side. He recommended we use our CleanSpace to act as a barrier between the wall and basement. It is a waterproof, mold prevention tarp like material that is very sturdy. Water can trickle down the other side, keeping out of the basement and sending it into their waterproofing system. The homeowners were very excited with how the room now feels and looks. There is no doubt that they do not need to worry about their water and mold issues anymore! Check out the before and after photos below! 

Estel T. in South Sioux City, NE was looking to do some maintenance on his home. For a while now he been having problems with water leaking in his basement. Not wanting to deal with the cleanup and mess anymore, he decided it was time to investigate waterproofing solutions. After hearing about Thrasher’s reputation, he gave us a call.

System Design Jon Young went out to Estel’s home. He was able to identify that there was no waterproofing system in place. The crew installed WaterGuard, an interior basement drainage system. Also, to keep the walls dry, they encapsulated the areas with CleanSpace, so water would no longer come through. From start to finish Estel thought the process went smoothly and was happy not to have to worry about the water anymore.

Marcy A. is looking to remodel the basement but has been dealing with water coming in throughout the last couple of years. She removed some paneling and noticed that water as also coming in from the concrete walls.  Before starting the remodeling, she wanted to get the water to stop coming in. After getting recommendations from family about Thrasher, they decided to give us a call.

System Design Specialist Jordan Comstock went out to Marcy’s home. He was able to find that the water was coming in through the cold joints and form ties. The water was also building up along the foundation walls.  We waterproofed the area with WaterGuard and installed full height CleanSpace. Marcy was happy to be able to continue with the remodeling and to never have to worry about water coming in again!
