This homeowner urgently needed to address wall damage for the sale of his property within a tight timeframe. Upon reaching out to Thrasher Foundation Repair, our System Design Specialist, Chad Williams, promptly conducted a thorough assessment. Examining both the interior and exterior of the foundation, Chad aimed to identify the underlying issue and propose an optimal solution.
His investigation revealed that the West wall had succumbed to cracking and bowing due to hydrostatic pressure. Hydrostatic pressure occurs when the soil surrounding the foundation becomes saturated, exerting force against the wall as the soil expands. To rectify this problem, our recommended solution involved the installation of four PowerBraces. These braces effectively stabilized the wall, gradually restoring it to its original alignment over time. Witness the successful implementation of this solution in the following images.
