Photo Album: More is possible with Thrasher: Concrete repair edition
This concrete repair project began with our crew facing doubts about their ability to achieve good results, but after closer inspection, it transformed into a demonstration of what we could achieve. The sidewalk had settled towards the building by 2 inches and had remained that way for years. The underlying problem was the lack of slope, causing water to accumulate behind the slabs over the years. However, our dedicated team managed to lift the entire 122" sidewalk, and sealed the joints and entire surface using SealantPro.
Sinking sidewalk is a tripping hazard
This photo shows the concrete had sunk 2 inches. Because it's a high traffic area next to a business, it's important to get this sidewalk lifted and avoid anybody injuring themselves.
Settled public sidewalk
This business's sidewalk had settled 2 inches towards the building due to an improper slope that directed water beneath the slabs.
Getting started with PolyLevel
We started measuring the concrete settlement to help us gauge how much polyurethane foam to inject to lift it back to its original position.
Lifting concrete with PolyLevel
We are injecting polyurethane foam beneath the concrete slab to lift and permanently stabilize the sidewalk.
