This homeowner had called Thrasher to help him with his porch because he did not want water to get into the foundation, which could make the problem worse and more expensive. He also knw this was a tripping hazard, and did not want him or any of his company to fall getting in. He knew Thrasher had the best reputation and great professionalism so Mike Williams, System Design Specialist, came out to assess what was going on. He found the front patio was settling towards the house due to poor soil used as fill under the soil. The weight of the concrete can cause it to sink if the compaction of the soil is not right. He went back to the homeowner with these findings and together they decided on a solution. We used PolyLevel to lift the patio back up to its original level, and sealed off all joints using NexusPro. See how our awesome installation team comes together to repair this sinking porch!
Porch Settling
There is major settling here at the top of these steps. This not only a tripping hazard, but can cause water to intrude into the home and into the basement. Polylevel and NexusPro can be used here to lift the concrete step back into place and seal the joints.
