This homeowner was worried about tripping hazards on his front steps. He knew he needed a quick, but quality fix so he called Thrasher. System Design Specialist Jeremy Sund, came out to meet him. Jeremy noticed the poor soil compaction, causing voids for the concrete to settle. Jeremey proposed using our PolyLevel and NexusPro to lift, level, and seal the concrete back to place. The homeowner was ready for the fix, so we sent out our installation team. Check out the process of getting these steps back into place and looking great!
Voids Causing Concrete to Settle
The poor soil compaction under this concrete caused voids to be created, which leaves little to no support to the concrete. This causes the settling and cracks you see here.
Settled Concrete Steps

PolyLevel Installed
From this side view, you can really see how the PolyLevel lifts the steps back into place! There are small holes drilled in the concrete to inject the foam in, it expands and lifts the concrete back to where it belongs. The holes are then filled in after like they were never there!
PolyLevel and NexusPro Installed
The PolyLevel is injected under the concrete to fill in the voids, giving the concrete the support it needs and lifts it back into place. The NexusPro fills in the cracks and joints to prevent water from getting under the slabs and causing washout.
