Concrete Repair in Bonner Springs, KS

This homeowner recently bought their home and wants to keep things in good shape. Unfortunately, the back patio had started settling and water was pooling. It ended up cracking the concrete and creating a bad tripping hazard. Since their grandchildren visit often, they knew it was important to get it fixed. They used Thrasher for a previous concrete project, so they knew exactly who to call.

We sent out Brandon Powers to visit the home and look at the concrete. He found that voids from soil erosion had formed beneath the patio causing the concrete to settle. On top of that two downspouts were discharging onto the patio creating additional opportunities for moisture to erode the soil beneath it.

To fix this issue and direct water away from the concrete, we used PolyLevel to lift, level, and stabilize the concrete. We then used NexusPro to seal all cracks and joints. We also buried the downspouts under the patio which eliminated the tripping hazard.

The customer was relieved to know they wouldn't have to worry about their loved ones tripping at their home anymore.

Foundation Repair in Longmont, CO

Jeremy met the Thrasher team at a home show a few months ago. He was interested in purchasing a home but knew it had structural issues. He wanted a professional team to look at the house to figure out what was needed to achieve stabilization for the house to pass inspection.

We sent Anthony Salcedo to the home to look at the foundation. He found that an area of the foundation was settling about an inch into the soil. Anthony knew we needed to develop a solution quickly because Jeremy had a small window before closing on the house.

Our install team was able to lift the house about an inch (to its original position) and close most cracks in the walls by installing helical piers. Helical piers are made of heavy-duty galvanized steel that's resistant to bending. They are advanced or screwed into the soil and support the structure's weight.

Jeremy was very grateful throughout the entire process and impressed with our level of professionalism and execution. Above all else, he was happy we were able to work with him on his schedule and close on his new house in time!

Garage Concrete Floor Repair in Salina, KS

This customer was selling his home so that they could move closer to family. They wanted to make sure that they fixed the cracks in their garage floor so they could increase home value and make sure that new homeowners won't have any issues.

So they called Thrasher.

Sheldon Sharp visited their home to conduct the inspection. He found that the garage concrete floor had settled due to years of poorly compacted soil and water erosion. There were several voids underneath the concrete, which started the cracks to occur.

To fix, we used PolyLevel to lift and level the garage pad, and then we used NexusPro to seal all cracks and joints. The customer was super happy with the result and can now put his home on the market.

Wall Support in Orange City, IA

The homeowner's walls were deflecting inward and were in stage 2 wall failure. We were able to fix the problem of falling foundation walls by using Power Brace and Carbon Armor. We used this combination to keep as much space as possible to allow the basement to be finished.

They had us back out to support another wall after we were finished because of the work we did on the first wall.

Bowing Wall Solutions in Kansas City, MO.

Craig and his family have lived in this home for over 30 years. He began to notice a crack in the basement walls and kept his eye on it for years. Craig decided it was time to call Thrasher when he noticed a more visible deflection in the wall. He began to worry that the wall would eventually cave in. Hydrostatic pressure outside of the home builds up pressure around the existing foundation walls. This is due to the soil around the home settling and allowing gaps for water to create pressure, causing the walls to bow.

For this project, PowerBraces were used to permanently stabilize the existing wall. PowerBrace is a product that is made with galvanized steel and fits the exact height of your walls. A unique feature of PowerBrace is that it is secured at the base of the wall, and has an adjustable feature at the top, allowing for the walls to be straightened over time. Craig and his family can now rest easy that they will avoid total wall failure.
