Brain and Teresa wanted to fix their foundation because this is the home they plan to live in forever. They knew that this was an issue but did not realize how bad it had gotten as this is a cellar room that does not get much use. They realized that they were at risk of the foundation walls caving in and knew they had to do something. Their house is built around a really old foundation. The original foundation is from the 1880s and is made of stone. There are 4 additions to the original foundation and one of them just has a frost footing. The foundation with the frost footing was putting weight on the stone walls and causing them to fail. There was 6 inches of deflection on the wall.
The reason they chose us was pretty interesting, Brian is an engineer and knows people in the industry. After the initial appointment, Brian asked his friends who he should go with. His friend is familiar with SupportWorks and said we were the best in the industry.
We fixed the problem with EverBrace. We used Everbrace because of the severity of the issue. The wall failure was to the point that this was our only option. This project was interesting because of how old the original foundation is and the cause for the failure. The foundation we fixed was 140 years old and it had 4 additional foundations built around it.
The customer said they were happy to have it done right and now they never have to worry about it again!
