During the inspection the service technician found her gutters to be completely clogged with branches and helicopters, this was causing the water to go back over the gutters and potentially back into the foundation walls. Bob found the water getting between the control joints in the slabs was causing the slab to drop. When water gets under the slabs, it can cause washout - washing the soil away and leaving the slab with little to no support to lay on. He went back to the homeowner with these finding and a solution. Bob proposed we use our Concrete Protection System. Polylevel to lift and level the concrete back into place and NexusPro to seal the joints and cracks. Both of these products are waterproof as well, so it will prevent any future washout. This homeowner was in a car accident last year and was having troubles getting through her front door due to his concrete sinking. Cody did his inspection and found the soil underneath the concrete walkway and stairs leading up to the front door had shrunk due to dryness from the drought of 2022. Her driveway and garage floor were showing symptoms of Street Creep that she was unaware of. To help combat this issue, we used PolyLevel to lift and stabilize the walkway and stairs that lead up to the front door. To help the Street Creep, we used our Compression Guard to create a true barrier between the expanding street and the home's foundation. The homeowner was very excited to be able to use her front door again and having it be more accessible. There is no doubt she has peace of mind of her home.
