Within the last year we installed LVP floating floor in our basement. It started buckling and oozing at some of the seams in the fall of 2023. We ignored it for a few months because of life events. We just pulled parts of it up and there is moisture under the flooring. We don't know where the water is coming from especially considering it was a very dry summer/fall.

These homeowners in Manhattan, KS are currently living in Texas, but plan to retire soon and make the home in Manhattan their forever home. To make this happen, they are doing a significant amount of remodeling and need the foundation of the home leveled before following through with anything else. They had a few different contractors come out to the property, but felt they were getting overpriced bids and a lack of detailed explanations. Thrasher came out to the property and performed a thorough inspection and then personally called the homeowners to discuss the findings and variety of solutions we offer. They couldn’t have been happier with our attention to detail and customer convenience.

 After System Design Specialist Micah Waldo and the homeowners decided on a solution, the team was able to begin the project. In one corner of the house there was about an inch and a half of settlement, and the basement floor was severely cracked. In addition, water was seeping in through the broken foundation. To level the corner of the home, they installed ten of our push piers to permanently stabilize the settling foundation. Then, PolyLevel foam was used on the inside of the basement to lift and level the concrete. NexusPro was then used to fill all cracks and joints on the floor where water was entering. Lastly, our WaterGuard waterproofing system was installed to drain all water in order to keep the basement dry year-round.

 The homeowners were amazed at the effectiveness of the solutions we were able to provide for their forever home. We were able to return the foundation of the home to its original state and permanently waterproof the basement to guarantee they won’t have any issues in the future. They utilized a handful of the services we provide and couldn’t be happier they called Thrasher.
