Wall in Arthur, IA near Complete Failure, PowerBrace System Makes Home Safe

One of the walls in Edwin O. and Jessica D. was starting to fail, they contacted their landlord to see what could be done to save the wall. Looking to preserve the home, the landlord gave us a call.

System Design Specialist Corey Little found the wall was on stage three of wall failure. There was also three inches of deflection and daylight was coming in near the top of the wall. We installed the PowerBrace System, which allowed the home to be permanently stabilized. Since the damage was so extensive, we had to Shortlock the wall. After that we interlocked the rebar to the PowerBrace system and then sprayed shotcrete giving them a new wall without having to replace the old wall.

Foundation Repair Project in Holstein, IA

Homeowners in Holstein, IA have plans on remodeling the basement. Before starting any projects, they wanted to get the foundation looked at, so they gave Thrasher a call to learn more about solutions for their home.

Starting with the driveway, the crews were able to identify that the street was pushing up on the concrete and causing problems for the foundation, so they installed CompressionGaurd. Then the walls were in stage 2 of wall failure we used a combination of CarbonArmor and Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to stabilize the walls. Then to control the humidity, we installed a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. Lastly, for a safe exit out of the basement, an Egress window was added.

Waterguard installed in basement in Holstein, IA

A couple in Holstein, IA recently purchased a home and discovered that the basement was leaking. They wanted to refinish a portion for their grandkids to play and knew they could not do that until the problem was fixed. They looked around for a contractor that would handle waterproofing and found Thrasher. We did a full inspection and got to the root of the problem.

To solve their issue we decided to install Waterguard around the perimeter of the basement. This product is covered by a warranty and is proven to keep your basement dry. We also installed a safe sump pump system and buried discharge line to make extra sure that the basement stays dry. The couple was very happy with the solution that we installed and are ready to get the space prepared for their grandchildren.

This customer had uneven concrete on their walkway. They did not want it to become a tripping hazard. 

They had us come out and level the areas that have settled and cracked areas. Using PolyLevel, we were able to lift the concrete 2" and level it with the rest of the concrete. We then sealed the joints with NexasPro to prevent water from getting under the concrete.
