This homeowner in Doniphan, NE noticed his front porch was settling over time. Settlement can lead to sinking, cracks in concrete, window or door-frame gaps, or even harm the foundation beneath the home. With no plans of moving soon, he decided to stop the settlement before it had the time to worsen. The customer had heard great things about Thrasher and knew we had ability to fix it right the first time.

 System Design Specialist Brandon Headrick arrived at the home in Doniphan to inspect the job site. The customer opted to have our helical piers installed to lift and level the front porch permanently. Our helical piers are large metal screws driven to soil that’s able to withstand the weight of the home. The piers are crafted with heavy-duty galvanized steel that are resistant to bending and can be adjusted when needed. After installation, the team returned the yard to its original state and tamped down all the remaining dirt.

 The customer was pleased with the results and the clean-up from the crew. Not only did Thrasher stop the settling, but we returned the front porch to its original state.

A homeowner in Grand Island, NE, is in need of a solution for the high humidity levels in her basement. A service technician went out and installed a Sanidry Sedona Dehumidifier to control the moisture levels in the basement.

This homeowner was tired of water pooling along his home every time it rained. He didn't want people tripping on the settled slab on his front sidewalk either. He was aware of Thrasher's reputation of quality work and called us. System Design Specialist, Joe Dearth, came out to meet with him. Joe found that within this homeowners very large concrete driveway, there was washout causing the slabs along the side of the home to settle, making a perfect spot to pool. It was clearly dissipated along his foundation and evaporated, causing further damage to the concrete. Joe proposed we use our PolyLevel to lift and level the concrete, and NexusPro to fill in the joints and cracks. The great thing about PolyLevel is, it is waterproof! So, it will not washout by water over time. After the project, this homeowner was so happy with the job. There is no doubt that he is worry free of any more water pooling, or tripping hazards. 

This homeowner was having troubles getting different companies out to do the work he was looking for. He had water pooling up next to his home with a heavy hot tub in the middle of the patio. He did not want leaking in the joints between the house and concrete either. He saw our ads and decided to call us up. System Design Specialist, Brock Scott, came out to meet with him. He found the concrete along the home was settling from fill soil and the collection of water. He also determined the weight of the hot tub was causing it to settle as well. Brock proposed to use our PolyLevel foam and NexusPro to lift and level the area of concrete, and seal the joints. The PolyLevel is waterproof, so there would not be any more washout. Even though the hot tub could not be moved completely out of the way, we were able to lift, level and seal the joints and concrete! This homeowner was very happy with the results and there is no doubt he is relaxing in his hot tub with no worries of water getting where its not supposed to. 

During a tornado, this family went down to the cellar and notice water was rushing in through the crawlspace entrance and worried that there was a bigger problem than they thought. They knew of Thrasher and our reputation, and had family who had us out in the past, so they gave us a call. Joe Dearth, System Design Specialist, came out to do his inspection and quote. During the inspection, Joe found water had washed out a section under the foundation and every time it rained, water would flow downhill into the cellar area. He went back to the family with the findings and a solution. Together, they decided to install a TripleSafe sump system at the location where the water was coming in from and buried the discharge ten feet out into a rock garden. We sent out our installation team and got to work. There is no doubt this family has to worry anymore about water getting into their cellar. 

These homeowners were moving into their new home and wanted to make sure the walls in their home were supported. They heard of Thrasher and our reputation from their realtor, so they called to set up an appointment. System Design Specialist, Joe Dearth, came out to meet with them. Joe did his inspection and found that wash out and dry out from years of weather cycles caused the block foundation to crack at the frost line. Joe took these findings and went back to the homeowners. To combat this issue, we secured the wall with 6 Geo-Lock anchors, which are plates installed to the wall with long rods that are installed into the yard. Over time they can be adjusted to help straighten the wall back out. The homeowners loved this solution and we sent out our installation team. There is no doubt the have the peace of mind the need for their new home. 

The concrete around this North Platte business was settled 2". It was a big and challenging lift, but our team members, Brian and Austin, raised the slabs so now everything is level and stable.
