This family was having waterproofing issues in their basement. They have had many family members use Thrasher, so knew who to call when they wanted to fix their problem. One of our Service Technicians, Joe Dearth, went out to the home in Guide Rock, NE. and helped identify some key solutions, to help the family rest easy at night.
Water was building up along the foundation walls, and the hydrostatic pressure from the dirt around the foundation was allowing water to come in through the weak points in the block and clay tile bricks. The gap was just large enough, that snakes were able to get into the basement as well. The West wall was weakening because of the water issues and had started to bow and deflect. Joe was able to identify that these homeowners needed a WaterGaurd system, that would allow water coming in, to flow safely to a sump pump located in their basement. There were also wall anchors installed with earth plates, to help the walls in the basement begin to hold and straighten.
The family can now rest easy that their waterproofing and foundation settlement needs have been met.
