Basement Waterproofing & Drainage Before & After Photos

This homeowner in Chariton, Iowa discovered a water leak in the early stages of finishing their basement. In order to ensure that moisture would not cause damage or cause mold growth, Thrasher Foundation Repair installed a full waterproofing system, including perimeter drainage, sump pump and vapor barrier along the walls. This homeowner was worried about mosquitoes and mold in her moldy, wet crawlspace. She was also concerned about her children because the mold and high humidity are associated with harmful allergens. We sent System Design Specialist Kevin French to inspect the crawlspace and determine what was causing the mold and mosquitoes to live there. Kevin found that the crawlspace was completely wet and that the AC condenser line was dripping into the middle of the crawlspace without any drainage system. The water was just sitting there, causing the crawlspace to be wet, and the humidity to grow mold quickly. Our team wanted to protect this homeowner's home right away, so we sent a crew to start encapsulating her crawlspace. Our team utilized CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to encapsulate and protect the home from moisture, a sump pump with a proper discharge pipe to bring water away from the home, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to bring down the humidity level and purify the air.
