Crawl Space Encapsulation in Sioux City, IA

Linda and Louie E. are homeowners in Sioux City, IA and have felt the negative effects of a poor crawl space for years. During the winter, cold air would seep into the basement and the floors above. In the summer, hot and humid air would leak into the basement making it an uncomfortable living space to be in. Linda and Louie knew if these problems continued any longer, it would lead to more severe damage such as mold and rot. In addition, the crawl space was affecting the energy efficiency of their home making it more costly throughout the year. Linda and Louie were impressed with our thorough inspection and detailed solution to the problem. They believed our product was the best permanent solution and chose Thrasher because of our professionalism and reputation.

System Design Specialist Corey Little began the crawl space encapsulation by installing our SilverGlo insulation that reflects and traps heat within the space. It’s an effective radiant barrier that’s also resistant to mold to keep the home energy efficient. The team also applied rim joists to seal all gaps and prevent air from escaping upward. To complete the encapsulation, they covered the entire crawl space in our CleanSpace waterproof liner to control humidity and prevent warm or cold air from entering through pipes and vents.

Linda and Louie were more than pleased with the efficiency of our team throughout the duration of the project and our dedication to the quality of the solution we provided. They were thrilled with the result and are liberated moving forward knowing this issue won’t occur again.

Concrete in Altoona, IA is Lifted and Sealed

Chris and Meghan S. were getting ready to put their home on the market. They were concerned that buyers would be concerned with the concrete on their driveway. Looking for a long-term solution that would get rid of any hesitation, they decided to call Thrasher Foundation Repair.

System Design Specialist Dan King went out to their home and was able to identify that the walkway was settling unevenly all the way up to the front door. There was also a broken area in the bottom of the driveway that needed to be lifted and leveled. The side slabs also had large voids underneath that needed to be closed. The crew applied PolyLevel to lift and level the settled concrete and fill the voids. Then we used NexusPro Joint Sealant to make sure all of the joints were sealed. Chris and Meghan were thrilled with the final look of the concrete!

Walls Stabilized in Leon, IA

Jennifer C. recently purchased a home in Leon, IA with plans to restore the house to increase its value. The home is over one-hundred years old, and the basement is experiencing extreme wall failure. It has a brick foundation with mortar joints that were deteriorating, and the walls were bowing inward. Familiar with our reputation, she gave us at Thrasher a call to permanently repair her foundation.

Concrete Leveling in Andover, KS

Homeowner Ken P. in Andover, KS noticed the concrete leading to his front entryway and back patio had settled over time. The concrete had sunk and began to crack in the deepest areas. Frustrated with the appearance and worried about it becoming a tripping hazard, Ken decided it was time to get it fixed. After receiving bids from other companies, he quickly realized none of them had a reputation quite like Thrasher.

To begin the project, System Design Specialist Brent Randolph arrived in Andover, KS to fully inspect the concrete areas that were problematic. The customer opted to have the team install our PolyLevel and NexusPro solutions. PolyLevel is a lightweight and strong high-density foam that lifts and levels the concrete permanently. It’s an effective solution because it not only lifts the concrete, but also compacts the soil underneath to ensure the concrete remains stable. Then, the NexusPro is applied to seal all the cracks and joints. It’s a durable solution that prevents moisture from entering long into the future.

Ken was grateful for our quality of work, display of professionalism, and dedication to doing the job right the first time. Ken loves the way his concrete looks and now has confidence in its functionality.
