This family was wanting to use their basement for storage, but with water constantly getting it they did not want their things getting ruined. They had heard of Thrasher and our reputation, so they gave us a call. System Design Specialist, Daryn Britton, came out to meet with them. Daryn did his inspection and found there was some deflection on their wall, causing a crack and water leakage. To combat this issue, Thrasher installed CleanSpace and PowerBraces. CleanSpace is our waterproof, plastic vapor barrier that is installed to the wall. This catches any water getting in through the wall and helps drain to a sump pump. PowerBraces are our floor to ceiling anchors which prevent any more inward motion of the wall. Overtime these braces can be torqued to help straighten the wall back into place. The family loved this solution and the crew, there is no doubt they have peace of mind using their basement for storage again!

Wet Walls

On the back wall you can see how there is wetness, when a wall in bowing in and causes a crack, water from the soil around it can start seeping in.

Wall Deflection

Wall Deflection is when pressure is place on the outside of the wall from soil movement or water collection. This pressure is placed on the wall and the wall starts bowing in. To help this issue, we have a couple of different options!

CleanSpace

CleanSpace is placed on the wall to collect any water getting in through the wall and into a drainage system. This is the "white stuff" you see on the wall. It is waterproof and very durable to prevent any tears or cuts.

PowerBraces

After CleanSpace is installed, we install PowerBraces over it. PowerBraces are the floor to ceiling anchors that prevent any more inward movement. Overtime, PowerBraces can be torqued to help straighten the wall.
