El Dorado, KS Gutter Installation, Crawl Space Repair, & Concrete Repair Contractor

Renee and Ryan were getting ready to have their third child, so they needed to plan to move their older two downstairs. They want to make sure they have an extra escape route in case of emergencies. They knew of Thrasher and our reputation, so they gave us a call. System Design Specialist, Clint Gerber, came out to meet with them. To ensure safety of their kids in their bedrooms we installed an egress window with our large window to create another exit for the children. They were both excited to have another exit for their children in the basement. 

Our customer in El Dorado, KS noticed his neighbor getting their driveway and sidewalk repaired by Thrasher and was impressed by the work so decided to give us a call. He was wanting to give his driveway approach a cleaner and more appealing look. His driveway had cracks and settling spots all over making the concrete look old and broken. 

After coming out to look at his concrete, our crew found that over the years the soil underneath began to sink due to wet conditions. The team was able to use PolyLevel Foam to fill the void under the concrete making the driveway level again, then used our NexusPro to seal all the joints and cracks to prevent water from getting under the concrete causing this issue again. His driveway is now protected from future settlement and gave him the clean look that he was looking for. 

This homeowner was seeing his garage pulling away from the house. He was going to be retiring soon and was putting a lot of work into keeping his home in great condition. He knew he wanted a company that was trustworthy and that could give him a good solution to his problem. He called Thrasher, and System Design Specialist, Travis Hickman, came out to meet with him. Travis saw the reason the garage was pulling away, was because his foundation was settling. The garage and the SW portion of the house were settling causing stair stepping cracks in the basement as well. Travis proposed we use Push Piers to support the foundation. Push piers connect the house to stable, load-bearing soil or bedrock. The homeowner did not want any more settling and was excited for this project. We sent out our installation team and got to work! This homeowner was so happy that Thrasher was able to stabilize and lift his home. There is no doubt he has the peace of mind he was looking for going into retirement. 

This homeowner had knew the floors in his home were not being properly supported. His floors were soft and squeaky to walk on. He started seeing more damage upstairs as well. He wanted to make sure his home was taken care of and his floors are stabilized. This homeowner had experience in the construction field, and knew of Thrasher's great reputation, so he gave us a call. System Design Specialist, Brad Metzger, came out to meet with him. Brad inspected the foundation and floors and found the floors were sagging and causing soft spots and cracking when walked on. Brad proposed we use our SmartJacks and Supplemental Beams in their crawlspace to attempt to lift, level, and stabilize the floors permanently. The homeowner knew this was the best solution to his problem, so we sent out our installation team! He was so happy with the results. There is no doubt Thrasher gave this homeowner the peace of mind he was looking for. 

There had been water for years in the basement of VFW Post 1174 in El Dorado, KS. The gentleman who help maintain this building, and help local veterans, Ross, knew it was time to fix the existing issues. In the basement of this building is a bar area, as well as office space. Due to water in the basement, they have been unable to renovate the space to create more room for operating. Due to the years of water damage, there were also signs of deterioration of the walls and space as a whole. El Dorado has a large lake that is on the cusp of the Flint Hills where bedrock is fairly shallow with respect to the rest of Kansas. So there are many businesses in the area that are suffering from water getting into the basement. 

This is the first VFW in Kansas, and like many VFWs, they are non-profit organizations that are in place to aid veterans with needs and services. At Thrasher, we pride ourselves on living out one of our values of One Community. Because of this, we were able to do this project at cost of the materials for Ross and the team at VFW Post 1174. They will now be able to take the extra funds saved from maintenance to purchasing items needed for local veterans. 

For this project, there was a full perimeter Water Guard was installed. Water Guard is used at the footing of the foundation, to help push water in one direction, while keeping the space dry. The water is then pushed to a Sump Pump, which was also installed on this project. The Sump Pump will take the water, and pump it out and away from the building. CleanSpace was then used to add extra protection from water getting into the basement of the VFW. With these systems in place, Ross and the VFW team will be able to utilize the basement for more space to grow and aid local Veterans. 

A homeowner in El Dorado, KS, was struggling with unevenness in his driveway and walkway. There was a significant amount of settlement and, it had created a major tripping hazard. To fix this, the crew used a  combination of PolyLevel and NexusPro Joint Sealant to create a smooth and even walkway.

Thrasher arrived and began by performing a thorough inspection on the home’s concrete. Multiple areas on the driveway had cracked and sunk because of high usage over a long period. We assured the homeowner that repairing the driveway is more than possible and is a fraction of the cost of replacing it. The customer chose to have our crews install our 2-part concrete protection system that consists of our PolyLevel and NexusPro solutions to permanently lift and level the surface and seal off all cracks to prevent any water damage in the future.
