Thrasher Fighting Lung Cancer

The second leading cause of lung cancer can be prevented, Thrasher is working every day to help homeowner avoid exposure to the radioactive gas called Radon. According to the Environmental Protection Agency  4.0 pCi/L is the action level that one should plan to mitigate their home. Nebraska and Iowa have the highest potential for elevated levels of Radon. The goal of Thrasher is to teach homeowners about Radon exposure. Testing for Radon in a home is easy and inexpensive. The American Lung Association has designated November as Lung Cancer Awareness month. They call lung cancer the invisible illness, since the late onset of symptoms, low survival rate, and lack of knowledge about the disease keep many people in the dark about just how dangerous lung cancer can be.
